I completely understand how hard or daunting you may feel when it comes to transitioning into a new career. Yes, there are many unknowns but having worked in different roles in numerous fields, the only certainty you can have is your own ability to solve what ever problem with the skills and experiences you already have and thatβs providing value. I would love to help you through this transition period, share my experiences, and how to craft your personal branding to land your next role in a new career youβve been thinking hard about.
I want to help those who are going through what I have been through in my career and help them find the career that aligns with who they truly are so they can provide the best value while loving what they do.
1.Understand the mentees personality and why they are pursuing the goals. If there are no goals, then help them define their goals or understand who they are and what their skills are. 2. Research the roles in the field of choice. Understand what skills are required for the roles and summarise. Also explore where the career path can take you. 3. Come up with a general plan. Understand the current skills, what new skills to develop and what experience you might need. 4. Craft your personal branding. Create a profile that speaks to the audience (recruiters, people in the field, etc) while you build on the skills and share what you have learnt (content creating + documentation of what you have learnt) 5. Practice telling your personal story and what you are about (imagine if you could market yourself as a product or a service)
Having a personal brand that tells a story of my career, personality and my mission.
