An environment that champions inclusion, and teams that reflect the diversity of the communities that we serve.  What you’ll do   As a Data Scientist you will perform analyses of sales, marketing and engagement data using advanced statistical modelling. You will have experience in developing ML models that support segmentation, market mix modelling / attribution modelling, population density mapping and feed recommendations into our data ecosystem. You will exercise considerable latitude in your approach and analysis, apply hypotheses driven approach to problem solving and contribute to the development, and revision of market strategies. You will have expertise in handling large sets of data sources and will utilise your strong analytical skills to access, clean and transform data to support advanced analysis. You will lead cross functional projects and ensure end-to-end accountability of the deliverables.  This role is Sydney based for an initial 6 month contract. Essential for the role :  Strong commercial knowledge to solve key business problems such as driving revenue opportunities, process optimisation, customer engagement and retention  A technical degree, such as Actuarial, Maths/Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics etc.  Experience building advanced segmentation and ML models in a commercial environment  Strong technical experience using SQL, Python or R  Technical experience in data visualization using Power BI or Tableau.  ​Experience in a similar role; generating insights from large customer or transaction data sets  Experience delivering analytical solutions in either a consulting or end user business A collaborative style and the ability to work with and positively influence a variety of people across all levels and functions will see you succeed. Desirable for the role :  Engaging SMEs across a global organisations  Software development skills  Experience in advanced analytics consulting and solutioning  Experience in designing data centric experiments for hypothesis testing  Experience in facilitation workshops with cross functional teams to map and frame problems/opportunities and capture business requirements would be a bonus  Prompt Engineering Skills: Ability to design and optimize prompts for generative AI systems to achieve desired outputs, improving model performance and reliability in various business scenarios. Understanding of Generative AI Concepts: Familiarity with generative AI models, such as GPT, BERT, or DALL-E, and their applications in solving business challenges through automation and innovation.
